Mojo putter.com was started by Ken Brumleve and Pete Charest in order to promote the Mojo putter. The putter was designed by these two aging golfers who average one or two rounds a week. They were looking for something to provide a little "mojo" on the putting green where the game is won or lost. When their research revealed that 75% of putts are missed due to poor
alignment, their focal point was established. They needed a way to not
only accurately line up the putt, but to verify that the putter was truly
pointing down the sight line. They experimented with various head materials,
shafts, grips, and shaft angles until they found a weight distribution
that allowed the putter to stand up on its own, allowing them to walk
around to the back of the putter and read the alignment, just as one reads
the slope of the green. They discovered that the resultant putter head weight promoted a pendulum stroke, inviting more movement from the shoulders and less with the hands. When these features were combined with a long sight line on top of the putter, they started rolling some remarkably accurate putts. They then added a cavity that allowed the putter head to pick up the ball off the green, even out of the cup. The magnet they embedded in the base allowed them to place and retrieve their ball markers on the green without bending over. They took their prototypes out to the course, and discovered they truly had a putt-making machine. They were soon saving 6-10 strokes a round. They hope you will too. |
